This is just a quick post. I’m off to see Jeffrey Eugenides speak at the Sydney Writers’ Festival in a couple of hours and was doing a bit of background surfing when I came across this great Guardian interview with journalist Sarfraz Manzoor about Eugenides’ latest novel The Marriage Plot. Which I shudder to confess I haven’t actually yet read!
In fact (*shocking confession time*) … I haven’t actually read any Eugenides at all yet! Which shall be rectified forthwith. Oh gosh, more fodder for the ‘to read’ list.
Ever feel like you could spend every waking minute with your nose in a book and still not get through everything you want to in a lifetime? It’s a beautiful curse!
Anyway, enjoy the video. I’ll post again after Eugenides’ interview. Can’t wait to hear him speak in person after this tidbit!
